1. Who we are

Analogue ("we", "us") is a sole‑trader business based in the United Kingdom. We develop and publish the Analogue iOS camera app ("the App").

Contact email: [email protected]

Postal address: Available on request – please email the address above and we will provide it without undue delay.

2. Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process when you use the App and why. It applies to the Analogue iOS app and the www.analoguecapture.com website.

3. Data we do not collect in the App

We do not:

  • collect analytics, usage statistics, or behavioural data from the App;
  • store or transmit your photos or videos—they remain solely on your device unless you explicitly share them;
  • use your photos or videos for analytics, advertising, or any purpose other than providing the App.

4. Website analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 on www.analoguecapture.com to understand how visitors use the website and to improve its content and performance. Google Analytics uses first-party analytics cookies, including the _ga cookie, to distinguish visitors and sessions.

The information collected may include pages viewed, interactions with the site, referring page, session statistics, approximate location, and browser and device information. Google Analytics also uses a cookie-based client identifier. We do not intentionally send Google Analytics information that directly identifies you, such as your name or email address.

Google processes this information on our behalf. Its processing and international transfers are described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. In‑app purchases handled by RevenueCat

The App offers optional in‑app purchases. Payment processing is handled by Apple, and subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, Inc. (USA).

4.1 What RevenueCat receives

We view this information only via RevenueCat's dashboard. We do not download or store it locally.

4.2 Legal basis for processing

Contract (UK GDPR Article 6 (1)(b)) – Processing purchase data is necessary to deliver the features you buy.

Legitimate interests (Article 6 (1)(f)) – We have a legitimate interest in keeping the App functional, secure, and fraud‑free.

6. International data transfers

RevenueCat's infrastructure is located in the United States. Transfers of personal data are safeguarded by the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Google may also process website analytics information outside the United Kingdom; see Google's Privacy Policy for details of its transfer safeguards.

7. Data retention & deletion

We do not create or retain separate copies of purchase data. RevenueCat stores the data for as long as your subscription remains active and for a limited period thereafter in accordance with its own retention policy. If you email us to request deletion, we will forward your request to RevenueCat and confirm once completed.

Website analytics data is retained in Google Analytics in accordance with the retention settings for our Analytics property. We use that data in aggregated reports to understand website use.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Your rights

Subject to certain limitations, UK residents have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we process about you;
  • Request correction or deletion;
  • Object to or restrict processing;
  • Receive a copy in portable format;
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on our website and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
